Path of Exile Item Upgrading

In Path of Exile, item upgrading is one of the best ways to improve your equipment without relying on massive drops or trade. This article will teach you how to upgrade your items effectively.

Upgrades in equipment can add an additional bonus to the item's base stats. The bonus increases with upgrade component level and rarity.

Components

Upgrade components are the items that improve your armor and weapons better. You can get them from the destruction of enemies, finding them in item spheres or buying them from karma merchants. Upgrade components are not destroyed by removing them from an item.
